About the Company

Precision Marine Survey Ltd (PMSL) is an independent environmental consultancy established to provide integrated data acquisition, analysis and assessment with regard to estuarine, coastal & offshore marine development, marine conservation and commercial and recreational fisheries.

PMSL has in house capabilities to undertake a variety of intertidal and subtidal marine environmental baseline and monitoring surveys along with habitat / biotope mapping and water quality modelling. Through its fully equipped laboratory PMSL can facilitate the analysis of biological and chemical samples for a range of analyses including taxonomic analysis and particle size analysis (PSA).

PMSL is a member of the NMBAQC scheme (The National Marine Biological Analytical Quality Control Scheme).

PMSL, based in Yorkshire, operates predominantly on a UK national basis, although its staff have large experience of working in European and East African waters, and analysis of fauna from the UK, European continent, Middle East and Indian Ocean.

Key staff within Precision Marine have significant experience of commercial fisheries and fishing, especially with regard to interaction with offshore development.  Consequently we are able to offer fisheries advice in the form of liaison between industry and the commercial sector.
